As we previously mention Twitterlive is now a paid only service. The prices are very reasonable and would allows us to further develop the Site. Also in addition to the changes, a smaller user base means a better and more reliable service for everyone.
We have added 4 new social networks to the Service: WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr and Identica. You can now feed blogs to WordPress, Blogger and Tumblr via RSS and the good news is that the HTML and the text is published without any encoding issues; pictures and any other element inside the post description will be published. Also feeds to Facebook now includes title, description and a thumbnail picture if it is available.

Adding your RSS feeds to the service is very simple because all the user input is made on one single page without having the complication of navigating through various pages and settings. See the screen shot sample below; simple is better.

All in all we think that you will be pleased with the new changes made to the service and we hope you find the new pricing plans reasonable and as a way to reward the hard work we have put into creating this software.
We also want to use the opportunity to thank all our loyal users.

As a small company we have discovered it is not economically viable for us to offer freemium plans any longer. As a result Twittelive will become a paid only service. This will enables us to offer 100% of our value and support to paying customers.

We do not make this decision lightly. It comes after spending more than a year tryign to make the freemium model work.

As an unfunded self supporting project we have decided it is best for us to focus all our time and effort on our paid customers from this point forward.

In the next few week All existing free users will be moved into Twiterlive’s new 15 day free trial system. After the 15 day free trial expires users will be required to pay a subscription if they wish to continue using Twitterlive.

Why would you pay for a service that is offered by other companies for free? Besides customer service a small user base means a better and more reliable service for everyone. Other services that have hunders of thousands feeds can hardly offer a good service.

Our goal is to offer a solid service. This type of tool is very demanding in terms of hardware and software; the more rss feeds you handle the more difficult becomes to have a reliable service.

Thanks for your understanding and we hope you stay with us in the future.
The new pricing model will be made available soon.

Since we have to rely on third party social networks and url shortener services we thought it would be important to provide you with real time information of any issues that might arise with your feed. The feed log will inform you with the date and time of any problem we find during the fetching or publishing process.
You can find the log on your dashboard. See screen shot below.

When I started to work on Twitterlive.net I decided to register the domain name blogsfeed.net along with the domain name twitterlive.net. It thought Twitter would eventually register the name “Twitter”; therefore the blogsfeed.net domain would come handy at some point. Well, guess what; Twitter is now a registered trademark and although they are not legally challenging the use of the word twitter in some of the apps I think is time to move away from the name Twitterlive and make good use of the name blogsfeed.net; therefore in the next few weeks the references to the name Twitterlive will be changed to the name blogsfeed.net. At this point the service can be accessed using both domain names.

As part of the natural process to increase our service, we have added feeds to Facebook in the most straight forward and easy to use feature possible. The Facebook API team has improved its authentication system and is now using the new oAuth 2.0, so this has allow us to make use of it ahead of other services. When you authorize Twitterlive to interact with your Facebook account we automatically import your Facebook pages along with your account; therefore selecting which page or account to send posts to is as simple as selecting it from a drop down box.
With this addition and the the current Twitter and Ping.fm networks you have a wide range of social networks to feed.

This information is for the Twitterlive.net users who are currently using our own twlv.net short url service for their feed channels. In order to give you a more accurate picture of the “real” people who are clicking your short links we are only recording real click and we are not recording clicks made by search engines and robots. There is not point to log these when more than 90% of the clicks come from them.
We hope this change helps you to better understand where are the clicks coming from.

We are happy to announce that we have increased our capacity in order to process the Rss feeds faster. On top of this we will be adding more capacity in the next few months in order to keep up with the demand. As part of our future plans we will offer a premium service with some exiting updates in the pipeline.

Update
We ended up increasing the capacity by 4, and along with some tweaks on the code we have cut out the processing times by 20. That means the feed items from your Rss feed will be fetched a lot faster than we originally planned. This is great news for all our users.
We have also added an extra column on the “My Feed Channels” page that includes the “Next Update” date and time. This will give you an approximated idea of when is the next update cycle for your feed.

Sometimes a Rss Feed can become unavailable for a brief period of time or not valid anymore. You can monitor the health of your Rss feed from your Twitterlive dashboard. If you see a “failed” red link click on it and you will get the description of the problem. Use it to trouble shoot any problem you might have. See the screen shots below.

Twitterlive will try to fetch feed items from your blog up to 20 times before it will automatically pause the feed channel; therefore it is a good idea to login to your account once in a while to see how your feed channels are doing. An automated email notification will be available as part of a premium service.
